The cost of mediation is more cost effective compared to the cost of litigation. Mediation is not confined by the schedule of the courts or lawyers therefore allowing parties to arrange for services quickly and some cases are able to be resolved in 1 to 3 sessions.

Family

Ending an intimate relationship is an overwhelming event for most people. It is enormously complicated emotionally, financially, legally, and professionally. Mediation provides a fair, safe, balanced, informed and affordable way to resolve difficult problems. Parents who are trying to work out post-separation parenting agreements often feel that mediation is a better process for their children.

Many civil disputes are caused because a relationship has changed in some way. The emotions that fuel family law disputes — anger, betrayal, hurt feelings, fear, guilt — often lie beneath many civil and employment disputes as well. Mediation offers an opportunity for parties in any kind of dispute to negotiate an outcome that is fair, both financially and emotionally, and even the chance to repair an important relationship.

Mediation offers the opportunity for the employer and employee to address their feelings. What starts out as a request for an apology, a letter of reference and a nominal amount of money can escalate as the litigation and its cost escalates, missing opportunities for settlement that are fair, reasonable and affordable for all.
